Job Description:   **Cafe Associate - PT, Varied** **Description** Pay Scale: $10.62 - $14.16 **Shift:** Varied Job Summary: Under the direction of Food and Nutrition Director, the Café Associate performs a variety of tasks in food service area according to standard practices and procedures. The Café Associate must have excellent customer service skills and flexibility in multi-tasking the multitude of customer orders. Demonstrates good organizational and communication skills in dealing with internal and external customers. Essential Duties: + Replenish food at serving station. + Prepare sandwiches, grilled items and entrees following standard recipes, guidelines and portion control. + Maintain cleanliness of dining area, counters, steam table and other equipment. + Prepare, fill and replenish salad bar and soup. + Refill silverware, napkins, condiments, snack items and beverages throughout shift. + Accurate cash handling and reconciliation of change due to customers. **Qualifications** License/Certification : + Food Handler's Card is required within the first 30 days of employment. Experience : + Able to work in a fast paced, independent environment. + On the job training available.
